Practical Achievements Russian University of Transport October 17–18, 2024 From the welcoming address of Oleg Belozyorov, General Director and Chairman of the Management Board of Russian Railways (RZD): This authoritative event brings together the widest range of participants — representatives of government, science, and the transport industry, manufacturers of railway equipment, and our foreign colleagues — united in a common effort to ensure a guaranteed level of traffic safety and accident-free operation of railway transport… The conference's main theme is "Innovative Development: Expert Dialogue and Practical Achievements."

Fresh ideas on issues such as innovative technical solutions and management methods, dependability support, professional competency development programs, and employees' sense of personal responsibility will undoubtedly help improve the efficiency and safety of railway transport… The conference's goal was to unite the efforts of transport market participants in meeting government requirements and public expectations for innovative solutions in the railway industry. The event was attended by representatives of government authorities, science, the transport industry, designers, manufacturers of railway equipment, and foreign colleagues. The event's priorities were coordination and cooperation in creating the conditions for transforming processes that ensure railway transport safety. One of the key issues was the transition to modern management methods, technical solutions, and effective programs to support competencies and dependability amid the development of the railway industry. Particular attention was paid to import substitution and changes in supply chains for railway component parts, as well as compliance with mandatory requirements. Transtelesoft took part in Working Session No. 1, "Smart Technologies and Unmanned Intelligent Transport Systems in Ensuring the Safety and Reliability of Transport Systems," where a joint solution with JSC NIIAS for Russian rolling stock was presented — the Russian upgraded, scalable onboard traffic safety system "BORT-R." Dmitry Volkovsky gave a presentation titled "BORT — Safety Ensured by Technology Development."
