All TE33A diesel locomotives in Kyrgyzstan are now equipped with the BORT system!
Kyrgyz Temir Zholu State National Company carries out passenger and freight transportation by rail.
The company's performance gives grounds for confidence in the future. A steady trend of positive growth in key production and financial indicators is observed every year.

In 2024, Kyrgyz Temir Zholu celebrated its 100th anniversary. The company received a powerful impetus for development in 2021, when a new management team led by Azamat Sakiyev took the helm.

The new team focused primarily on modernizing railway infrastructure, renewing and upgrading rolling stock, and optimizing technological processes.
Among the notable events was the 2025 re-equipment of all TE33A mainline diesel locomotives, replacing their outdated safety system with the modern BORT locomotive safety system.

The BORT system meets the requirements of Customs Union Technical Regulation TR TS 001/2011 and holds valid declarations of conformity. BORT has an expert safety assessment report, according to which the probability of a hazardous failure corresponds to Safety Integrity Level 4 (SIL4).

The BORT system is designed for installation on all types of rolling stock operated on railway sections equipped with any type of ALSN train movement signaling and control track equipment. It offers a number of advantages among the train safety systems in use.
