TMH Ships 2TE25KM Diesel Locomotives Fitted with the BORT Onboard Traffic Safety System to Kazakhstan

Another batch of four mainline 2TE25KM diesel locomotives has been shipped to the customer.

Under a contract signed in April 2023, TMH's plant in Bryansk is manufacturing 50 mainline freight diesel locomotives of the 2TE25KM series for KTZ Freight Transportation.

Another batch of four mainline diesel locomotives has been shipped to the customer. At the customer's request, the locomotives are fitted with the new, modern BORT onboard traffic safety system developed by Transtelesoft LLC (part of the TMH Intellectual Systems group of companies). The BORT system is designed to ensure the traffic safety of all types of rolling stock operated on railway sections equipped with automatic locomotive signaling track devices (ALSN), as well as on sections equipped with semi-automatic block signaling. It complies with the requirements of Customs Union Technical Regulation TR TS 001/2011. The system is distinguished by its touchscreen LCD display, user-friendly intuitive interface, and modern component base.

This is the first time KTZ Freight Transportation has purchased equipment from the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant. Company employees rated the performance and reliability of the Bryansk locomotives highly, along with the comfortable working conditions for locomotive crews.

The 2TE25KM locomotives meet the customers' most stringent requirements and are distinguished by the high quality of their components, as well as by their environmental friendliness and comfort for drivers. The diesel locomotive is capable of hauling trains weighing up to 6,400 tons in any climate conditions on sections with a challenging track profile. The locomotives' design is notable for the accessibility of its major assemblies, which helps reduce repair and maintenance costs.
